Finally, a book of love.

As someone who is very open in the LGBT area I love this book. It's so nice to see a book about homosexuality and Transgender that isn't saying it's a sin. It's letting you know God loves all of us the way he made us. (Even if your silly body forgot to develop into the gender meant for you.) It's full of inspiring biblical quotes that can help remind you He loves you and is there for you. Great read!

cliffhanger

Good sequel to the first. Although it escapes me why Michelle didn't tell the police that someone had been following Amber. She needed more evidence to get their help and she didn't mention that? Really?
Looking forward to the next book, and since she left it with a cliffhanger ending I'm sure it will seem like a very long wait for it.
However I sincerely hope they do a better job of proof reading the next one. The numerous misspelled, left out, and incorrect words were rather irritating.

A great read with a hint of trouble at the end

This book was a great read. It flowed from scene to scene without a hitch, the magic was awesome and the detective/research angle was well done. I highly recommend this book.

Now that the good part is out there I would like to comment on the one facet of the book that left me looking sideways at it. To start the up and down relationship of last book was smoothed out and I didn't have any of the same WTF is he doing factors that I had to deal with in the Elron/Michelle interactions of last book.

That out of the way the end of the book, most particularly the big reveal left me extremely leery. It tossed everything in the air which could be good or it could be bad, I just pray that N.E. Conneely doesn't fall prey to the particular vice of some authors to constantly throw relationships into the air and switch hit for the latest flavor of the week.

Hasn't been done yet but some of the warning signs are in. I'm just putting my vote in early. Vote NO!

If you like creepy gory tales this is a must have

This Mav Skye's first full novel and the third of hers I've read. She really knows how to keep me guessing.
It starts with Sir Sun answering a personal ad. He lives a rather routine life but this changes everything. He writes back and forth with Velva as weird stuff seems to start. When he finally meets her all hell breaks loose.
I spent half of this book wondering if he was crazy or if someone was screwing with him. Everytime I thought I was getting close to the answer of what was happening I would be wrong. There was some things I hadn't even guessed at until it was revealed at the end. Even then the last page had a twist I didn't expect.
If you like creepy gory tales this is a must have.

Classic Text on the Hindu Temple

This is the classic two-volume text on the Hindu temple by a scholar who was loved and revered by her colleagues and students. It refers to ancient texts and a number of stories to elucidate the topic. Kramrisch delineates the Vastu Purusha Mandala, the basic plan of all Hindu temples (and in other forms, the basic plan of all buildings), as a "ritual diagram" of squares which depicts "divine essence becoming form" (6), which is exactly how it is perceived in the Vastu tradition. Emphasis is placed on the geometric form of the square as "literally rhe fundamental form of Indian architecture" (22). Tirthas are described as pilgrimage destinations which serve as doorways to the divine; Kramrisch notes that "the main tirtha is that of the mind" (4). There are also interesting references to the sacred role and use of trees.
